We’ll start the week off with some exciting Tech news in a press release coming off the CISION PR newsire from Portier COO Olivier Dombey. The Samujana villa resort in Koh Samui is partnering with Portier to make life easier for their guests by providing specially programmed cell phones. These phones will allow villa attendants and managers to stay in contact with the travelers about room or logistics issues. The Portier experience has additional benefits for guests – existing users have already reported positive experiences with features like free local and certain international calling, hotspot mode for data (travelers can avoid local SIM card purchase!), and detailed city guides.
By integrating closely with the hotel or resort, and understanding their offerings and usage data, Portier is able to value-add not just for the customer, but for the resort as well by allowing direct marketing opportunities during the clients’ stays. Samujana general manager John Dopéré is looking forward to utilizing this technology solution to generate revenue in the resort’s Spa and Food sectors. That’s in addition to a plethora of efficiencies the Portier system can generate for the resort; we should expect further interest from other high-end and early-adopting hotels.
Here’s wishing you a productive week from Phuket Property Watch!
